Had field camp this week. It was the single most utterly disastrous deployment ground we ever had. The positions the higher command chose were practically swimming pools. Not to mention that right in front of me was a pond with an unlimited supply of commando mosquitoes. You know, those that manage to bite through 2 layers of clothing, underwear included.

We were in a pretty good mood. I was like singing and joking and playing around. I don’t know man, something just snapped. Haha. The situation was so ridiculous you couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it. Smile in the face of adversity and chuck the mud back down its throat. Army’s making us weird.

Yesterday was a fantastic day. We had soccer at chinese high. Scored 2 nice goals that made my day. Hehe. [to Detong: song bo!] Brought the guys to dinner at the ramen stall I spotted last week. The one that looked really authentic. Looked. It didn’t exactly taste japanese. The buggers. Ajisen ramen is tonnes better. We ended up playing LAN in cineleisure, which was a blast. Despite playing CS for only one hour, I haven’t had such fun in ages. Yeah, CS, that game for uncles like us. Haha.

Ah yes. Saturday dinners. Weekends will never be the same again =)
